Outsourcing company Carillion won a seven-year contract extension from Nationwide Building Society worth around £350m to provide facility management services at its branches and offices.
The contract, which started on October 1, continues a nine-year partnership, and will provide facilities management services for the building societies' Swindon headquarters, 15 corporate offices, data centres and 700 branches across the UK.

Carillion CEO Richard Howson said the contract renewal demonstrated the ‘success’ of its long-term partnership with Nationwide and the company's focus on collaborating with customers and using its knowledge in whole-life property management and services.

He added, “Our strong emphasis on delivering sustainable services is also a key differentiator, as both Nationwide and Carillion are focused on responsible business practice that maximises the benefits our operations can have on the communities in which we operate.”
